I am so proud of myself today because four blog posts in four days is quite the achievement. I don’t think I’ve done four blog posts in the past year…anyways let me jump into today’s blog.
Today is an extra special day because it is my dad’s birthday. Every year you get to see your parents celebrate another milestone is truly a gift. You run out of gift ideas but you begin to cherish the time spent with them even more.
Being away for the past 10 years does not leave a lot of opportunity to spend time with my family much less take pictures with them. That’s why today’s picture is extra special.
Last year my now husband and I decided to get married, and my dad flew to the UK to celebrate with us. This meant the world to me that he could be there.
“It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish”! This was one of the last things my dad said to me before I moved to the UK. On the hard days, the feel like giving up days, the I don’t know where to go from here days, the this is not how i envisioned this turning out days; i remember my dad’s wise words, ” It’s not how you start, but how you finish!”
So finish strong my dearest readers. Whatever you are working on in this season of your life make sure you finish well. If ever you have a feeling like I want to quit day, remember my dad’s wise word’s of encouragement: It’s not how you start it’s how you finish.
Cheers to 10 years in the UK and finishing this chapter well
