It’s🎉My🎊Anniversary🎉

You are walking in an answered prayer!

It’s day three of my celebration through blogging, celebrating 10 years of living in the UK. I’ve seen this quote many times on social media and today I truly feel that I am walking in an answered prayer.

Today’s thought and picture comes from a valley season. A season that taught me to wait patiently on God and exercise the resilience birthed in me from childhood.

I call this picture ‘In the Valley’! Sometimes we don’t look like the struggle we’ve been through or are currently going through. 2022-2023 was a rough season in my life. From losing my job. my mom, almost becoming homeless, then losing my van.

“What’s in your hand”? was the question I heard, coming from a tv program I was watching one day. Coincidentally I had just received a package and I used that as a sign to jump into a field I would’ve never seen myself in…a delivery driver.

I bought an old van and for months I delivered for Amazon and Evri. There’s no way you go through years of school to be “just” a delivery driver. The Lord used the season to teach me that my identity was not tied to my career.

Every person who migrate from their country to another do so, so that they can live a “better life”! If you are currently preparing to make a move or thinking about it, save space for disappointment. There will be setbacks along the journey but don’t give up when things get hard because you will come through on the other side. Alternatively if things are really affecting you as my mom said to me “returning home” is always an option. You are not a failure. It is better to have tried than not to have tried at all.

Today I smiled so bright as my family and I went out to enjoy the last of our half term holiday at the Statfold Country Park, immersing ourselves in the experience of old locomotives and steam trains and the history behind it all. Four years ago I couldn’t afford to do such. Today I was able to. This was an answered prayer.

You’ve found yourself in a valley place and life is not going as you thought it would. Hear me when I say don’t give up, use what you have in your hand and activate that resilient spirit within you. As long as you have life, there is hope. Let God be your guide through this.

I do miss the van life sometimes but I’m grateful that, that is no longer my story. I appreciate that season for the lessons and wisdom gained.

Blogger fam…thank you coming back to read day 3 of me celebrating my 10 year journey in the UK.

Catch you tomorrow

Besos😘
