Helloooooooo beautiful people!!! What’s good, what’s good what’s goooood??? Too much? 🤫sorry I just get so excited whenever I get to share with you. In the next few posts I will be sharing tips that every parent can use. I believe our experiences as adults would be so much better if we shared with each other, the good, the bad and the ugly! So go ahead today, share your experiences with someone. You never know, that testimony or story might be just what the doctor ordered!
So we’ve been lock down for almost a year now. Pre-lockdown days people struggled with what to do with their children and if it was bad then it’s sure worse now. But have no fear Kamille is here😁 to give you a few tips so you won’t be bored in your house. Remember life was meant to be enjoyed not endured!
So you’re going a bit stir crazy in the house. No problem man… no problem! Why not get the kids outside for some fun. The thing is whatever you do you can use as a teachable moment or in conjunction with a concept they are learning at school no matter the age. So what about dodgeball, cricket, basketball, skipping, hiking, a trip to the beach (or seaside for my Brits and the river for my Lucian familia🥰),picnic in your backyard, treasure hunt, red light green light, exercising and my favourite…don’t laugh at me…(whispers) hide and seek!(I broke my bed playing this game🤣🤣🤣story for another day) The possibilities are endless! Even if there is a reluctant soldier in the midst no worries soon everyone will be up screaming and having fun!
Not an outdoor person? No problem man nooooo problem! This is the perfect time to teach them a skill. We all have something we’re good at. Dig deep and be creative. Youtube and Instagram can’t be the only channel your child gets inspiration from…they can learn from you. Teach them to cook, sew, decorate a room, electricals, how to use certain tools(let them help you assemble items that come flat packed) indoor exercise, arts and craft(sip and paint parent child edition set out snacks and water or juice and go crazy) and those video games that they may lock away playing for hours..yea that game go sit and play with them. Also you can have a games night(gotta love board games) or a movie night.
But Kamille I have children that are different ages!🤷♀️
Me: So😑
I only have one child
Me: What’s your point🙄
As I said before the possibilities are endless! Do you think as a grown woman I don’t want to be doing things with people my age? But here’s the thing when you stop and do things with your children it forms a connection. You don’t have to pry or twist their arm to talk to you they begin to open up about things happening in their little worlds. So go on man…grab the crayons and colour with them or do a TikTok video with them or teach them something you did as a child. For those with children different ages find an activity that can be suitable for everyone(eg. if we’re having a movie night start with a movie that the youngest child can watch) you don’t want anyone to feel left out or do an activity with your children individually. Sometimes you need to spend one and one time with them.
The best thing about most of these ideas, they will not cost you a dime! So tek time wid di pickney dem(So take time with the children)because they are growing up real fast and you will wish you had spent more time with them. Ignore them..they may ignore you in the future! Until next time my lovelies..Besos😘
